REST – Via: Great Middle Way

Posted on  by Tashi Nyima

Rest like space, in vast empty clarity.

Rest like the sun, self-clarity without fixation.

Rest like the ocean, clear and still.

Rest like a mountain, motionless, and unchanging.

Rest in a state of empty clarity, brilliant and crystal clear.

Rest in a state of natural stillness, relaxed, free, and at ease.

Rest in a state of unreality, blank, illusory, open clarity.

Rest in a state of reality itself, expansive and all-pervasive.

Rest in a state of natural presence, empty and still.

Rest in a state without root: don’t think, concentrate, be distracted, or meditate.

𑁋Longchenpa, Three Statements That Strike the Vital Point

Rambling poety.

Im not sure what to think, drinking my coffee.

Is this all worthless or purposeful, my nervousness.

Got me high like a livewire, planet earth.

I want to choose life, not suicidal quite.

But the scitzo-effective symptoms with no remedy.

Trying to be the end of me.

Try to live on and see dawn.

My Buddhist ideology makes me think that we can respawn.

That this goes on and on. I could be wrong.

No more meat and dairy not at all.

No alcohol…

So I hope I can go to a good place

I wonder. What would it take?

Take me away from pain sustained in a new way.

Here and There;
Post by Tashi Nyima

As a river, when full, must flow

and reach and fill the distant plain,

so what is given here, indeed,

will reach and bless the beings there.

As water on a mountain top

must soon descend and fill the plain,

so what is given here, indeed,

will reach and bless the beings there.

Five Keys to Right Speech; Buddhism and The Dharma Great Middle Way ~Β β€”Buddha Shakyamuni

A statement endowed with five factors is well-spoken, not ill-spoken.

It is blameless and un-faulted by knowledgeable people. Which five?

It is spoken at the right time. It is spoken in truth.

It is spoken affectionately. It is spoken beneficially.

It is spoken with a mind of good-will. β€”Buddha Shakyamuni

This is the law, ancient and inexhaustible – Zen Flash

We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts we make the world. Speak or act with an impure mind and trouble will follow you, as the wheel follows the ox that draws the cart.

Speak or act with a pure mind and happiness will follow you as your shadow, unshakable.β€œLook how he abused me and hurt me, how he threw me down and robbed me.” Live with such thoughts and you live in hate. Abandon such thoughts, and live in love.
In this world hate never yet dispelled hate. Only love dispels hate. This is the law, ancient and inexhaustible.
