I started writing about things, people and quotes that inspire me and millions of people across the planet. I can’t point at a what made or makes me other than inspiring people; hundreds of them.
2.) What is your biggest pet peeve for your significant other, or your dream date? Why?
It’s hard for me to say I have a pet peeve for the most important person in my life. My pet peeve is that we can’t physically crawl into each others heads telepathically. I think I’d like that. She’s also a tease but that’s a yin and yang I love to hate and hate to love. 🙂
3.) What would be your dream vacation?
Myself, Girlfriend, Ziggy and brother Doryan and my parents staying somewhere tropical but able to visit temples, perhaps Thailand or India.
4.) What band would you love to see in concert?
The Roots performing J Dilla, Or Stone Mecca with the Rza
5.) What is your favorite quote of all time?
Throughout history, it has been the inaction of those who could have acted; the indifference of those who should have known better; the silence of the voice of justice when it mattered most; that has made it possible for evil to triumph.”
-Haile Selassie
6.) What is your favorite book?
The Tao of Wu
7.) Who is your biggest inspiration? Why?
Buddha, they say Buddhism isn’t about “becoming a Buddhist” it’s just about becoming a better person.
8.) Who was the first Author you read?
Ill just say Dr. sues because that’s the first thing that comes to mind. Green eggs and ham. 🙂 That was my jam, Sam I am.
9.) What makes you laugh more than anything else?
Being with my girlfriend; letting go of myself makes me laugh about pretty well anything. Laughing at myself more often than not nobody’s perfect!
10.) Do you ever want more than what you have for you life right now? Why? What would it be?
I’d like to be doing more film projects, they say a picture paints a thousand words, perhaps films paint a million, film schools are in my future. I’d also like less of something in my life: plastic products and the monetary system.
11.) What is your favorite thing about yourself?
That I have a passion to grow, still feeling young and eager to learn. I also hope I inspire a few people along the way as an outspoken transgender woman or just an outspoken person.
It’s often hard to slow ones thoughts, it’s a fast paced world we live in but I encourage everyone to stop…. and breathe…..
For one looking into it for the first time I would recommend using a guided meditation; a simple process used to relax ones mind and body. Concentrating on your breath can help take away overwhelming thoughts and feelings during meditation ; in…… and out…. Also slowing the heart rate.
My personal opinion is that meditation can be done anywhere and in infinite ways. Once indulged in meditation you may find certain key points that make it worthwhile. For myself ground yoga or standing yoga, Zen music and sounds of rain help allow me to completely relax my body and spirit. On the opposite spectrum I’ve also found it humbling and calm to walk the inner city with my headphones on; spiritual music playing and losing myself in the streets. There is no wrong ways to go about it.
Calm cool and collected. We sit in half lotus. Becoming more and more enlightened, within ourselves.
“Buddhism regards all living creatures as being endowed with the Buddha nature and the potential to become Buddhas. That’s why Buddhism teaches us to refrain from killing and to liberate creatures instead.”
~ Venerable Master Hsuan Hua
Liberating Life
“Your beliefs become your thoughts. Your thoughts become your words. Your words become your actions. Your actions become your habits. Your habits become your values. Your values become your destiny”. – Mahatma Gandi
In my search, for likeminded, a hastily search which I regret rushing through, I came across a monk but, more of a 21st century monk ( very outspoken ). Quite digital of a way to cross paths but yet very real, casually speaking at first but eventually ; Too real to handle while unsteady or unbalanced not admittedly so.
I told him “I am studying Buddhism.” Shortly after , He told me… “when you find the Buddha kill him,”
Baffled.
Questioning this quickly in my mind and Frightened was my initial reaction. Leaving the statement behind in haste; not looking back.
This was disturbing, a disturbing Koan in a form of statement, and as to why he told me took me months to understand what I thought was to be very dark.
Months passed,I had been cold, homeless, in and out of sanity, In love and in war with myself and others. But eventually I found a home; a place to study. January 1st 2016
A light was tossed into this deep catacomb of the statement, I am so blind! I concentrated on my breath and within seconds fell to sleep peacefully. But, what is important is that I don’t understand / didn’t understand and will never fully understand. “When you find the Buddha, kill him.”
