Smiling Nina

I smile through great obstacles
Strive for the moments of magic
I see it all around me, dancing along the city lights
In the essence of my home and my lover.
Pushing, striving to keep this magic alive.
I would’ve guessed I’d be dead by now when I was youth;
Depressive state.
But now….
Everything’s is in its place
With the potential to become something better.
I become less and less afraid; stronger every day.
Smiling…

Mother Earth
This isn’t about me oh but if I “wrote” it it must be.
Remaining in a learning stage forever; blessing and a burden.
Earth is but only a planet with life, it is ours nonetheless.
Shall we not take care of it as usual? Disregard the constant.
All shalt say “no”, on one blessed day to come together.
Human consciousness has infinite potential; universal power.
Love and kindness is such pinnacle of this form.
Unto you it is given to do as you wish.
Life is suffering but don’t fret, it’s yin and yang: a normality.
One day at a time with goodness; an uplifting intent.
It gradually grows and spreads like a mighty tree, un-movable.
A tree doesn’t know it is a tree but oh how important she is.
Mother earth.
Dear Larissa – Nina
Today I am stronger than yesterday
Tomorrow I am stronger than today
I loved you yesterday today and tomorrow
I love you
Yesterday was amazing with you
so I can’t wait for tomorrow
Today I’m working on it
So tomorrow I can work harder
In the present moment I’m smiling
About a better tomorrow
The reasons have past
It just simply is
Love Nina

Beginning your Meditation by Nina Yin

It’s often hard to slow ones thoughts, it’s a fast paced world we live in but I encourage everyone to stop…. and breathe…..
For one looking into it for the first time I would recommend using a guided meditation; a simple process used to relax ones mind and body. Concentrating on your breath can help take away overwhelming thoughts and feelings during meditation ; in…… and out…. Also slowing the heart rate.
My personal opinion is that meditation can be done anywhere and in infinite ways. Once indulged in meditation you may find certain key points that make it worthwhile. For myself ground yoga or standing yoga, Zen music and sounds of rain help allow me to completely relax my body and spirit. On the opposite spectrum I’ve also found it humbling and calm to walk the inner city with my headphones on; spiritual music playing and losing myself in the streets. There is no wrong ways to go about it.
Calm cool and collected. We sit in half lotus. Becoming more and more enlightened, within ourselves.

Dewdrops on a Lotus Leaf: Zen Poems of Ryokan

“When, when?” I sighed.
The one I longed for
Has finally come;
With her now,
I have all that I need.
