Freedom Rain
I’m within the rain.
My eyes are heavy, raindrops hitting the windows…
I love the rain when I’m at home,
it’s engulfing my soul with its life..
I’m still and calm, eyes still heavy, relaxed,
dripping away the rain from gutters to concrete and grass.
The temperature is mild and chill*
refreshing to breathe in this rainforest we call our home. 🙂
The dogs sit quietly as if they too are relaxing to the sounds of raindrops and the –!whitecitynoise:::.
My connection to this rain is like….
a birds connection with the air beneath it’s feathers.
It represents freedom.

Canadian Street Artist iHeart takes the streets of Vancouver and creates a series of stenciled street art compositions, which comment on the social media era and its effect on contemporary culture and its influence on children growing up in it.
The artist, whose work reminds one of Banksy, takes social criticism to the next level, by imagining young children as obsessed neurotic adults or confused rebels. New age symbols such as hashtags and instagram notifications, and witty phrases commenting on the social detachment of the 2015 individual, tell a very contemporary story; a story of young kids growing to be alienated, but technologically advanced, adults.

Downtown Eastside Vancouver (Nina Yin Street Videography) /Night Traps by Ashes of Purgatory
The streets of Vancouver tell millions of stories, good and bad. This day was an incredibly dark day of my life and has lurking memories attached with it, I could have easily overdosed or been taken advantage of in the making of this short film. Night Traps by Ashes of Purgatory / my best friend recorded this with me at Deluca sound Lab, he was living in the Sun Ah projects while I was hustling and had taken far too much substance 911 was eventually called but this footage was taken right up to that point. Night Traps. Street photography / cinematography. Vancouver’s downtown east side. A dark day.
