Dream Poetry – Nina

The wandering subconscious;

Abstract and poetic symphony

Into the depths of mystery

Taking me away; departing once again

My dreamcatcher bends time and unravels the other realm

I don’t know where I am going this time…

And this time…

The only time…

When time is irrelevant; non existent

Hymms of darkness; I listen.

Kaleidescope focussed

Eyes closed; I see everything that was once unnoticed

My existence is reminiscent but non-concrete

Like a blindfolded painter; blind unknown

But residing in an Oasis

My life formed a basis

When I close my eyes; its realized my mind designed

All of these creations.

So I arise from the depths each morning and rejoyce

Answer the phone

And hear my lovers voice

So happy to be alive

I have no other choice.

She was the emotional type, Unsure if she’ intro or extroverted.

She didn’t know if she wanted to volunteer or do crime ;at times it’s worth it.

She didn’t know if the world is real, standing still, if she’d grown up ,or was still just a kid.

She didn’t know if she’s good or bad, happy or sad and she REALLY never knew all the things that she had.

It’s because she didn’t know that she continued to grow.

Searching for answers.

That she never would know.

nor filthy, nor fasting, nor lying on the ground,

nor smearing oneself with ashes and dust,

nor sitting on the heels in penance,

can purify one who has not overcome doubt.

Even though one be well attired, yet if one is poised,

calm, controlled and established in the holy life,

having set aside violence towards all beings,

one truly is holy, a renunciate, a monastic.

Keystyle freestyle writing. – Nina

I don’t know what to write. Impose a rule on myself to just compose and type

; like I suppose your right. Here it goes; in flight.

Im not complaining simply explaining that a lot of my days are draining me driving me insanely, plain to see that my mind is somewhat aimlessly;and broken.

I wish I was calmer are more soft spoken.

My girlfriend says I was in a better place mentally when I was living in the homeless shelter.

Shes right; its like I do better surrounded by… lives like mine but whatever.

Now is the only moment; so: hold it…

I Do not condone any of my past it’s already done so don’t quote it.

Buddhist Street Art and Graffiti

I live in a neighborhood that is full of graffiti street art. Some is terrible, some is incredible. Overall, I am grateful for this aspect of where I live. In an age where people are bombarded with carefully calculated ads meant to make us feel insecure, inadequate, and that we need to buy a bunch of stuff we don’t need, I think that the talented street artists perform a legitimate service, a sort of visual activism or civil disobedience. They freely and anonymously offer us compelling imagery that provides a tiny bit of relief amidst the constant ocular assault of our culture, which often seems to place a much higher value on our sugar intake than our appreciation of art. On the other hand, some graffiti artists just obsessively scribble their name on stuff and remind me of my…

Each one of us passes through these situations however some of us win, they are victors, and they succeed not because they try to make a difference but because they are destined to. Destiny is like a child born in the middle of World War II in a small town being crushed to the ground, his mother swallowed by the inevitable while the fragile wins his life. We do say that we create our destiny but it is always there waiting for us to embrace it through a set of actions that we will make. Our every choice is towards it, no matter how much despairing or hopeful, great or petty it maybe.
