Song of the day. Dedicated to my lover. It’s …Alkaline – Live Life!!!!
Myself: Pt. 3
Getting a little used to writing about myself now…
I am a self taught and self proclaimed Zen Buddhist and I’m not sure how to explain that; but it is who I am and how I like to see myself. I see Buddhism in a way different from anything I’ve ever encountered and I like to instill that aspect in my work as a blogger as much as possible.
Being transgender isn’t a huge aspect of my blogging perhaps that’s a good thing, although I would really like to instill hope and inspiration to other trans readers. I look for other trans bloggers which has been cool but it would be nice to have more in my reader to be quite honest. I love everyone and even moreso for any oppressed population.
I love reading others poetry on my feed, sometimes seeing reflections of myself or something of great value: a learning experience. I seek out artists and writers, activists and poets, filmmakers and photographers…any art can inspire me so continue that list with your positive imagination. I wish the world was more artistic and less materialistic. I find a mass amount of it in society and we should all try to change this…

Radical Universal Compassion
Instilling Compassion
Once we cultivate radical, universal compassion in our hearts —the intense desire to reduce the suffering of other beings, human and non-human— we must discern at every moment how we can be most helpful: thinking positive thoughts, offering prayers, speaking helpful words, performing beneficial acts, dedicating merit, or even just remaining peaceful and doing absolutely nothing.

Time.
Sunbathing on a beach; the sands of time.
Tick tock be the surging waves.
Perhaps I’ll bathe in the yesterdays of days to come.
Watching the ripples of time as I step into infinity.
Living my future in this present,
as the cool breeze runs through my ancient blonde hair.
Hour glass
And the sands of time.

Transgender Zen Story by Nina Yin

A sacred story of a Zen monk in ancient Japan; training under a samurai retainer Ninyin knew as the way; to make a decision in the space of seven breaths but couldn’t understand why he couldn’t get over a side to him; a side making him distracted from his training. To dash in head on was the way of the samurai; to dedicate ones body and mind to the way. Ancient Japan was an interesting place.
The Abbot sensed the distractions inside Ninyin One day the teacher instructed him to meditate in front of a mirror until he understood the purpose of this confliction within himself. Unsure of how his master sensed this he sat down in front of the mirror. On the first day he grew weary and applied powdered rouge when he was pale as not to look weak. On the second day his eyes began to open…

Miracle

Beautiful, stunning and absolute.
Life is such;
this realisation is here and now.
A lesson on miracles.
This life.
It surely is.
