Schematics.

I could map the schematics of my psychotic mind
They are highways to “The High Way”.
Alleyways to the gutter.
Left and right is up and down
And I’m never coming down unfortunately
I look down and the only down is death
Climbing the barbed wire fence to the other side
Pain and suffering is life; we all do know
Simply row that boat
So gently down the stream
I am the lost one; always have been
Cause life is but a dream.

My dreams; who are you?

I visit my subconscious on a regular basis
An old friend and an old familiar world
This word is I
I think?
And I wonder who am I as I awaken…
Awakening thankful
Talking to it like…
“Thank you for taking me back to my world.
I missed you so much; all of my dreams.
All of my world and all of my thought.
It was beautiful to catch up.
Amoungst the graffiti and waterfalls.
I can never grow bored of you”.
But who are you Nina?
Who are you?
Are you my soul as I stare into this reflection?
Are you something else?
Are you a reflection of me?
Or of this earth.
Guess I’ll never know.

February 8, 2017 VANCOUVER, Coast Salish Territories- The February 14th Annual Women’s Memorial March is held on Valentine’s Day to honour the memory of all women from the Downtown Eastside who have died due to physical, mental, emotional and spiritual violence. Now in its 27th year, the march brings courage and commitment to end the violence that vulnerable women in the Downtown Eastside face on a daily basis.
The Women’s Memorial March Committee is hosting a press conference on Tuesday February 14th at 11 am in the Carnegie Center’s 3rd floor classroom. The march begins at noon on Main and Hastings.
The February 14th Women’s Memorial March Committee was founded when a woman was found murdered on Powell Street .For 27 years, the Committee has been a leading voice on the issue of violence against Indigenous women and has raised local, national, and international attention. Despite a national inquiry being launched on missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls, the reality on the ground in the Downtown Eastside has not changed.
According to the Women’s Memorial March Committee “Increasing deaths of many vulnerable women from the Downtown Eastside still leaves family, friends, loved ones, and community members with an overwhelming sense of grief and loss. Indigenous women disproportionately continue to go missing or be murdered with minimal action to address these tragedies or the systemic nature of gendered violence, poverty, racism, or colonialism.”
In Vancouver, friends and family members led by Indigenous women move through the DTES and stop at sites where women died or were last seen to offer prayers, medicines, and roses in remembrance.

Inspite of my risked flight heres some insight to my intwined mind designed to inspire
Nothing required; building from a comforting nothingness to be blunt ignorance is bliss and just oh so comforting
But no views distorted, as far as I’ve seen or noticed. Visionary mind state I escalate and remain focussed
The persuit of happiness is on track mathmatically; tapping into my potential of a well that fills and distills drastically
Conform to no norms, I’m in no way shape or form a part of a swarm a touch comforting warmth
I like runways of sunrays that come blaze the concrete Im amazed at the phases Ive been through I’m feeling complete
My girl and I build together; nothing ever felt so real, Im feeling the future will help us keep it here n still always will just be together

Ancient Melodies.
The ancient melodies seep through my soul
“Closing my eyes I type this poem blind”.
Its funny how Ive memorized this keyboard
Makes me want to deprogram
Ive been brainwashed for a very long time
As I listen to these ancient melodies
Seeping through my soul.

Tea . A Zen Story; rewritten by Nina
A Buddhist monk who studied and meditated on the teachings of Buddha for over a decade wanted to speak with an enlightened one who dwelled alone in a small temple high in the mountains. He prepared for his journey eager to hear his teaching. After 7 days of rigorous hiking he reached the temple.
The master greeted him and welcomed him inside. The master put some tea on to boil and they sat in silence. The monk became very eager and unsettled in not hearing his teaching. The master poured the tea and sat with the monk. The monk didn’t drink his tea and began questioning his master of Buddha.
The master replied.. “You have studied Buddhism for 20 years and can not simply enjoy this cup of tea?” The monk wept…. as another step to enlightenment lay under his feet….
