Thank you God for another day. I wish blessings upon the earth and across the cosmos. May a Buddha be born on every world to awaken us all from suffering and samsara. Life can be a very hard place, a very strange place; may we all treat eachother with compassion and loving kindness.
My morning prayer.

Sandra and I must be losing our mind
Using all of this time
Trying to unwind
We try to live simplified lives; why?
If we look backwards we have been there before
There is no more; absent liquid to be poured
We adore what is less
What is less is what is more
Trying to be practically pure.

3:30 am I awaken to sit on cushion
The morning is calm on a Saturday
The city sleeps
Now as I get up
Move to the desk
I try not to clutch; try not to attach
But I must clutch this coffee
And this vape…
I’m still guilty of materialism
A tidy house is a tidy mind. Pick up the little pieces and find peace underneath it. Cracks and crevasses imbedded with Zen settled in. Once purified we can find the where’s and why’s. I find mine long before 9 am. Cleaning again as I always do. I must be thorough; scour the house for tidbits of dirt; I refurbish. Making the bed with care, whats here; whats there. All of the dishes sparkle clean and the drawers they are in. Desks and tables scrubbed to shine; of course cannot forget my shrine. A tidy house is a tidy mind.
I am so far from perfect; so many flaws
The things I’ve done leave some in awe
Done people dirty; making me feel unworthy
I’m trying to change; letting them know I am sorry
But I am not broken; I am full of love
Blessed by something; maybe from up above
I have an ego but I try to always choose compassion
Sometimes myself… just does not matter…
So as I fret on my actions… Karma law of attraction
I have to keep walking… This path with my traction
Walking along; this path we call life
Today can be different; today can be right.

Superior beings need the Dharma.
Without it, they are like lofty eagles
𑁋even though perched on the highest mountain tops,
they exist only to service their pride.
Average beings have need of the Dharma.
Without it, they are like snarling tigers
𑁋though possessing great power and courage,
they are obsessed only with their hunger.
OṂ ĀḤ GURU HASAVAJRA SARVASIDDHI HŪṂ
Inferior beings need the Dharma.
Without it, they are like sturdy mules
𑁋though they grasp countless possessions,
no wisdom or merit do they carry.
Beautiful beings have need of the Dharma.
Without it, they smile vacant and lovely,
always caring about appearances.
In time their illusory beauty fades.
OṂ ĀḤ GURU HASAVAJRA SARVASIDDHI HŪṂ
Older beings have need of the Dharma.
Without it, they are like old leaning trees.
Younger beings have need of the Dharma.
Without it, they are like a charging bull.
All children have need of the Dharma.
Without it, they will meet wrong views.
Every being has need of the Dharma.
Without it, we are blossomless trees.

Those who want to live with meaning
should practice the Buddha’s teaching.
